Hand against a PF min raiser $25 PLO 6 max

Wondeing if I completely screwed this hand up, I was thinking about it a bit today after last nights session. I wasn't sure if I should lead with a PSB on the flop here, or CR if somone bet. So I pussed out and just check called.

No real reads on villian here IIRC he was fairly new to the table, Not sure what to make of his PF raise... Maybe an AAxx hand? Either way I wasn't sure if my flush was good on the river. So I decided to do the "bet about half the pot" on the river bet, which Monk seems to love . Figuring I could get paid by a lesser flush of fold should a higher one be out there.

Difficult to say without a read and with that many people in the hand; your line is conservative but nothing wrong with it. Leading the flop is a option but if you get callers there's hardly a good turn card and it will be tough to make the right decision on the turn.

Check-fold is not bad either I think. Field seems to big to CR.

Im not really sure what the optimal move on the flop would be, however I like your river play. Have been using that play myself a lot of late, betting half pot when a scare card hits wether it helps my hand or not.

Yeah river play is fine but only against passive/straightforward opponents, because for a lot of people this is a common spot to bluffraise the river.

Now at what level do river bluff raises start coming into play? Usually at this level it's either a complete idiot or more than likely legit, with legit being fairly common... (ask me how I know this ).

Like Semillon menthioned I also like playing this, and going off his suggestion I tend to do it with all hands, including the nuts when I have it. It IS nice when someone hapens to raise you when you are holding the nuts though .
