T-rod has TT against an aggro.

T-Rod wants me to post this hand for him. I was at the table when it was played.

We just sat down and it seems to be a pretty aggro table. One guy has raised like 4 of the last 6 hands. I think he took one down preflop and the other ones down with a healthy flop bet. He showed his cards one time and had a good hand but I dont remember what it was.

2 limpers and Mr Aggro raises to $35. Tim calls from the SB with {Th][Tc] as do the other limpers.

Pot is $140. Flop [3d][2h]. Everyone checks to the aggro who bets $100. What does Tim do? Everyone involved has $500 or more.

check and raise big because he has the worst position for the rest of the hand.

Hmm - why didn't he bet out?

If it was to trap Mr. Aggro then he has now done that and should raise.

The alternative given the flush draw is to check - call. If the flush card turns then fire full pot and he really has to fold unless he has flush.

If the flush card misses it depends on what comes...

For starters, the guy had only raised about 2 hands straight so it wasn't just 4 or 5 in a row.

Second, this my first or second orbit at the table so I don't really have that great of a read on him.

He's never raised to $35 before which is pretty steep for a a 2/5 game.

I felt my only two choices were CRAI or fold. I don't like bet/3 bet there because I'm very likely just to get called by 3 or 4 people.

1 guy who I already had a read was pretty tight looked like he was loading up to call.

I ended up folding and he showed an Ace. I can see a CRAI but I usually want a better read.

Turns out the guy was a pretty good LAG and wasn't just raising like an idiot.

The next day after this hand, I played with this guy for 4 hours. He started with $250 and left with $2300 and was pretty damned good (although way too loose for my tastes). He was barely raising , so I think he probably was just on a mini rush during this TT hand and probably had real hands.
