Well the question is how to not pay off nits with decent holdings? I have several nits that play 18/15 15/12, while most range in 12/10 up to 9/8 preflop stats. Basically I'm doing pot control vs them with overpairs and two pairs when they call me on flop.
Here is a hand that i need suggestions with. Ive met players like this on 200s but they were not as common. They seem fairly easy to bet preflop and on flop but after that they are the ones that usually have a better hand. Thus I make money on them on preflop play and on CB's while I usually need to give up or use pot control on later streets.
The hand:
Preflop
Villian has 470$ in the hand and I have him covered. He is running at 17.2/13.43/3.3after 320 hands. He is a winning player and seems to know much more about me that I know about him (he observed me playing 200s which i found out by chatting with him).
Its 5 handed, UTG folds and I raise to 16$ in CO, OTB calls and villain in SB calls as well.
Flop
Pot: 50$
SB checks, I CB to 35$ and OTB folds. SB calls. At this point I'm pretty sure he has some sort of PP. Board is quite low and raggy and there are really slim chances that he has AKd AQd or any XXd since most of those hands would squeeze me preflop.
Turn
Pot: 120$
I really hate this card. Now most of PP's that would pay me off are gonna be afraid while he could easly have turned set here since he would raise QQ+ preflop. He checks, I bet 85$ and he raises me to 240$. I type NH into the chat and push. Thoughts?
Do you prefer checking turn or betting turn folding to his raise? Reason for this is that my hand here is as good as 54 or AA vs these opponents.
