I like the play all the way, I think. I could go either way on raising the turn - I really don't see you being far behind here, and his bet looks a little weak - I think the pot's big enough to take a shot at, knowing you're likely close to 50/50 anyhow if it resolves into an all-in vs straight situation. There's some value to appearing to be very aggressive in this game too. But, basically, I like your play a lot.
I find it hard to believe that he hasn't backdoored something nasty on the river the way he's played, but I can kindof see how he might have backed himself into a bluff. It's a strange river and a very strange bet. I probably call this down and then curse my luck to run into some wierd two pair that became a boat. To be honest, I'm not convinced about the VB on the river - he really doesn't have a lot that'll call that, unless you've seen him make some hero calls in the past. He may misinterpret a smal-ish value bet as a weak bluff and raise you off it, which would be a disaster here.
Anyhow, I'm making a bold guess at 3QJK or perhaps 88xx with a residue of a draw in there somewhere.
