Short stack stats

Here are my stats for 14 hours of play in Aug so far. If only the 1st 4 days at the beginning of this experiment didnt suck so bad....

I didnt say it was proof that I can sustain 4 PTBBs. I was mainly showing the stats just to show the stats (not the win rate) and to see if I could post a cropped picture like Shobute just taught me.

However, its very obvious to me that the win rate when playing short is nowhere near as volatile as it is when you play full. In other words, the variance of the win rate itself is much smaller. I will almost never have 5K hands batches where I run at 20 PTBBs like you do when playing full. When playing full you can win 2 full stacks in 20 hands and then fold for 2000 hands and have an awesome win rate. If you win some big pots quickly and dont lose any big ones, your win rate will be astronomical. That cant happen playing short.

For me to equal you full stack bloated win rate that yo got by stacking 2 guys, I would have to win 10 all ins in a row and keep folding everything else.

Exactly.

Big downswings and big upswings are both much less frequent which means that your win rate will stay within a narrower range overall and for the most part you need much fewer hands played to have a high level of confidence in your true win rate.

If you add in the "luck factor" in your "all in" hands, I think you can get an amazingly good idea of your true win rate even after just 2-4000 hands.

I do have about $1500 too much profit this month according to pokerEV but even after adjustment, Im at 3.34 PTBBs for the month
