I raise AA to $15, BB calls. BB is same villain from the 4-bet w/KK hand I posted. He is 34/26 and very aggro postflop over 100 hands.

Flop [5s][2h] $32
Villain checks, I bet $25, villain C/R's to $70. (this is why we bet the flop here!)

I decide to just call and shove over villain's likely turn bet (if no spade). I am almost 100% sure that villain has a flush draw.

Turn $172
Villain checks, I bet $125, villain shoves. I obv snap call. Villain got pretty greedy here as I would rarely fold here after betting this turn. The word spewtard comes to mind.

Anyway...the main question I have is how everyone likes the call on the flop against an aggressive villain when we are quite certain of his holdings and can play perfectly later in the hand. Or do people rather we charge the villain by 3-betting the flop? Obviously my play is fine sometimes but what is the "best" or "default" play?

Either line is fine here.

Against a total unknown I'm shoving. You have $300 left and the pot is $200 after you call. He has to suck pretty hard to be checkraising you without a set/air/draw here, and I doubt he fires again with air.

Against this type of player who appears to love making moves a call is definately the best play. And hell i would pray for a spade on the turn so he has something to represent.

I think the call is so / so.

The problem is that you dont really know if he has a flush draw or some other crap like [4h] or [8c] or even [5d].

If a falls are you gonna give up if he makes a fairly big bet?

If hes pretty aggressive, he probably also not going to fold his flush draw (if thats what he has) if you give him anywhere even close to coeect odds, so i would reraise. I would flat call if there was no flush draw and take my chances if another wheel card hits.
