Only thing I may do different is check behind the flop if he's one of those shovey-donks on flops he likes.

What about just moving on on the flop after he min raises you. I mean he could have AA,AK,KQ,KJ, [Qs] (hopefully not) or KK. You are ahead of most of his range. The only hand that you are not a coinflip to is KK. I think you may have some FE here as he may shutdown when the FD hits (based on what I know at the flop and barring results)
