#1 Opponent is 57/15 29 WTSD and very aggressive. I've seen him c/r all-in a couple of times. Once with a draw when he was called (he hit of course).

I have a full stack, he has a double stack.
[Jd][Jh] UTG+1
UTG raises to $2, I call, UTG+2 calls

[Ts][4c][5h] Pot $6.75
UTG bets $2, I raise to $6, UTG+2 folds, UTG calls

[Kh] Pot $18.75
UTG bets $4...????

I have about $40 left.

#2 Same table, CO is 55/24 41 WTSD, not as aggressive postflop, but not as bad as 1st player.

[5s][5d] SB $46
MP1 limps, MP2 limps, CO limps, I call - 5 to flop

[5c][7c][3h] Pot $2.50
I bet $2, MP1 calls, MP2 calls, CO raises $13.50

MP1 has $21 left
MP2 has me cover w/ over $50 left
CO has $21 left after the raise

Is there ANY benefit at all to just calling here? Is there enough of a chance that we're behind that flush draws might not matter if we're drawing anyway? In which case we might welcome a bigger pot?

What about against a tighter player?

Poker is silly.

It is not enough to be good at chess, you must also play well.

Somewhere in the world someone is training when you are not. When you race him, he will win.

Yeah, I really butchered the first hand, both on the flop and the turn. What's the right raise amount there? $9, $10?

Part of the reason I didn't raise more was because I had the other player behind me who was fairly decent. I wasn't sure if I wanted to tie myself to the pot with him yet to act.

Say I raise to $10 though and only UTG calls (and he would have). Pot is $26.75 on the turn and I have $36 left. I still have a major decision to make on the turn because how much more can I put in without committing myself.

Hand #2. I absolutely pushed without a 2nd thought. I was still fairly certain that was the right answer. Just an after-thought about being raised that big when a straight or flush is possible on board. When I asked about calling though, it wasn't to slowplay at all. That would be somewhat insane on a board like this with everyone calling flop bets. I only asked due to the possiblity that I was behind in which case the flush doesn't matter anymore.

Maybe it was more of a math question like: What % of the time do I have to be behind to a straight here for a call to be not horrible, allowing flush draws in to better my pot odds? I mean, way out there, say I somehow saw his whole cards and he had 64. If you're 100% certain that he had the straight then calling would be the play to entice flush draws, correct?

Again, though, I do agree that pushing was the right move because I can never be sure it's a made straight often enough, even against a tighter player.

Oh, by the way, maniac had [4c][6c] there. Bastard beat my set twice in the same hand when he his the flush on the river too.

In hand one I agree that the flop raise should be about $10. What about a 3-bet PF. His range has to be HUGE. You have position on him. I would call that turn bet and re-evaluate.

Both fo his bets look like blocking bets. Could he could have something like [6h][7h]. Since he is agressive, would he raise SC's UTG??
