Wow I am that far out of line here?
Let's say you are 400BB deep (£80).
Pot on flop in £3.40.
AlexMR weak leads £1.20, you pot it (and overbet may well lose action when you want it, but a flat call will never build the pot which you want to at this stage vs a worse pair)(+£4.60) and he flat calls. Pot is now £12.60. Turn is junk (not A,K, Q or J)
He bets under pot again -but let's say he moves it up to a 2/3 pot bet (£8 or so) - pot is now £20.60. At that stage vs a WT player like Alex my spidey sense (or monster under the bed sense if you prefer is beginning to tingle). I would probably flat call this for pot-control most times (pot £28.60) and make a crying call if he value bets again on the end up to 2/3 pot (say £20). That would be a max £68 pot (of which i would have put in over 150BB's). If a WT ABC player like ALexMr bets pot+ on the end, I would lay it down. Are you guys really saying you would call a bet on the end by Alex into that £28.60 pot of £67? or would you have raised turn too so you feel committed to call off the full 400BB stack? what hand could alexmr have that he would call off two re-raises two on flop and turn and then fire for the rest of his stack that wouldn't be the case J or another AA?
