First off, I have a question. Should I be saving raising with my AQ for opening in MP and LP and be dumping it UTG and in EP. I never call raises unless it is stricly for a flushses or against a loose raiser. I always play TP/TK carefully as you will see.
Stacks
Hero: $225 (UTG)
Villian: $400 (OTB)
Notes
Villian is a multitabling regular. His name is "The Reb" for any of u Cakers. He playing 2/4 as well. I have not seen anything weird from him. HOWEVER, the internet is down on my computer and ALL MY PLAYERS NOTES for Cake are saved on there.
Hand
I get deal [Qh] UTG and make it $10, it gets called in MP, and OTB by Villian
flop: [3d][8s] $32.50 (3 Players)
I bet $25, MP folds, Villian calls $25
turn: $82.50 (2 Players)
I check, Villian checks
river: $82.50 (2 Players)
Hero Checks, Villan bets $37, Hero calls $37
Analysis:
When he calls my PFR he is on a PP, SC, ATs+ something like that. After he calls my flop CB (fairly dry flop) his range is something like 33,88+,ATs+,.
The turn is a blank. Now I am not so sure he wouldnt raise me with a worse hand here and I have some showdown value. I checked with intention of calling up to about 2/3 pot maybe.
The river didnt make a difference as i was already behind AK. I think I should have made a small VB/blocking bet and folded to a raise in retrospect. But he let me in for cheap anyway and I called even though the bet smellled like a VB. Thoughts?
