Pot $11. Flop [9c][3h]. SB leads $2. BB calls. I raise $16. SB folds. BB now shoves all in. Starting effective stacks were $100.

Would he only call the $2 with a set on this board? Flush draw? Call or fold? Its like $80ish to me.

with no read i think its a fold. 93, j9 are both in his range. as are QT, 8T, and XXhh. i dunno that you're ahead often enough to make this call against an unknown. interesting spot though, looking forward to seeing what others think...

He has to know you have a hand after you raise, unless he is a total moron(you didnt post a read on him). Best case he has a huge draw like , more likely he has a set of 3's. I do this quite often with an aggressive PFR behind me. This is the perfect spot for the player in the middle to trap a bunch of dead money in the pot with a set. There is a good chance you are going to raise, the $2 bet is often a draw so there is a decent chance bettor calls your raise now there is a bunch of dead money in the pot for him to shove.

I agree with your read that he's usually on the FD here. That said, you're not that much ahead of the FD especially if he has or and you're way behind the made hands he can do this with. I think a call here is close to 0EV overall relative to his range.

As I said, I called. He had [9h] so it was a coin flip which I lost. I think a call or fold are probably both OK.
