He pushed in out of nowhere

Youre playing $200 NL. Game is standard. Youre in the BB. A guy who has been doing nothing weird, hasnt been outdrawn or anything like that, and has no reason to be tilting suddenly open pushes for $132 UTG.

What do you need to call?
Does it make a difference if he has $68 instead of $132?
Does it make a difference if hes on the button and it folded to him?

This must be Cake! I see it all the time and 3/4 its AA. These guys are just scared it to play it, So they push hoping for a race and let it play itself by being a huge favorite.

I see an ocassional PF open shove on NL200 or NL100 where I play and it's usually AA,KK or AK, especially if done by the players as you described... If done by someone else, then it's J6 most of the time

Is he open pushing from UTG?

This usually 1 of 2 types of hands in my limited experience.. AA/KK or a smaller PP that they don't want to see a flop OOP with. Although I'd consider how long he's been at the table and how active he has or hasn't been.. If he's doing nothing but folding the whole time I'd be pretty apprehensive about calling anything other then AA/KK.
but for your questions:

1. AA or KK
2 yes if he's that short I'd open up to AK, AKs AQs, QQ, JJ maybe AJs.
3. I don't think so (assuming we're still on a $132 stack not 68)

I fold, giving them credit the first time they do it. Too many guys do this with AA/KK once in a while. If they do it too much I call, but do make a note of the open shove.
