I did think he could have 2 pair or a set, but thought he might fold those to my all in. I would push there with a flush.

Yeah, I think the read of 2 pair+ is about dead on, and the question becomes how much fold equity you have. Also, if he has a set, you should have not only 0 fold equity but also are drawing really thin.

I can't remember the exact sequence well enough to say whether there's any reason to think 2 pair rather than set. If I were villain anyway, I'd probably fold 2 pair here but call with set--although I haven't seen you play and could even call with 2 pair if you're playing that way excessively.

I do think your frequent pushes, since they do seem from what you've posted well thought out, have quite a bit of meta-game value.
