If I did call pf and put his range on something really narrow then yeah I would call the flop and fold if he bets the turn. I think raising lets him play perfectly and I think he bets this turn near 0% of the time with AK or JJ or a hand worse than ours.
Calling the flop looks stronger than raising the flop (how would you play a set or AA on this board?) so if he continues to fire then I think we'd be behind and would fold the turn.
