Villain in this hand is a decent aggro reg. He is a tighter than average TAG, 19/14ish, but is more aggro than most postflop. I think his agg factor is almost 5, but its less than 1000 hand sample and my sample is a few months old on him I think. I'm pretty sure I've seen him post on cardrunners' forum.
Stacks:
UTG ($178.55)
CO (
$582.00)
BTN ($1185.00)
SB (
$805.70)
Hero ($597.85)
Pre-flop: (
$9, 5 players)
Hero is BB [Jc]
UTG calls $6,
1 fold,
BTN bets $27,
1 fold, Hero calls $21,
UTG folds
I decide to just flat here because UTG is a donk and I want him in the hand. I'm still undecided if I like this play or not, as I can put myself in some tough spots OOP with JJ. I just hate isolating a good player and shutting out a bad one, but maybe I should be more worried about protecting my stack from the reg than the donk's measly $178?
Flop: [5h][5c] (
$63, 2 players)
Hero checks,
BTN bets $44, Hero calls $44.
I think I should probably check/raise here (honestly I can't remember why I didn't) but I don't think its mandatory...thoughts?
Turn: (
$151, 2 players)
Hero checks,
BTN bets $110, Hero calls $110.
I think villain is double barrelling this card a decent amount so I decide right here to call and call most rivers. He can't really put me on anything good here - something like JT or maybe clubs. I don't see raising here as a good option.
River: (
$371, 2 players)
Hero checks,
BTN bets $282, Hero calls $282.
Anyway, I think my line is fine if I was in position. OOP I think I might get owned a lot taking a passive line like this. But I kinda think once I just c/c the flop I have set up my line to induce barrels from villain so I am obligated to call down here. Thoughts??
