Help me play pocket Tens pls.

Tens is where draw the line atm for reraising and only do it vs loose players.

Villain in this hand is 27/22 7.50 after 110 hands.

Preflop I flat call his reraise which I would fold with 88 or lower and have trouble playing them.

I called because he is pretty aggro and his reraise could mean lotsa things.
Preflop I think the holdings are. AK, AQs (AJs) ,AA-99 lower?

His range Is still pretty much the same but his bet is kinda weak for an aggro like that.
So I am thinking he kinda missed or has AA-monster. Even AK he would bet more IMO

The check there could be KK, but he would really bet the rest of his good hands. I showed semi-strenght and a K is in my holdings so I shoved.

I think the only questionable play here is preflop: that's a lot to call off and hope for a favorable flop. I'm not saying it's a bad play, I'm just not sure about it.

The hand would be easier if you reraised yourself preflop before it got to the BB. You said reraising is in your range with TT. Was there any particular reason not to do it here?

Once you've called pre, you can't fold that flop. And once he's shown weakness I like the turn bet.

I agree with k3nt. I think the best play here is to be 3-betting this pre-flop because CO's range is so wide here and you open yourself up to getting squeezed often, and when that happens you still aren't sure of the squeezer's range.

Now, one thing you COULD do is to flat here with AK/KK/AA vs. a squeeze happy opponent and then come back over the top but I think that's a little fancy.

Post flop I think you played it fine. On the turn I would bet a little less, around $34-36 because I think it achieves the same thing and you save money when he calls or check raises. If he peels the turn then you could probably still go for a free showdown from your bet and expect to see 88, 99 and missed draws pretty often.

The reason I like the turn bet is that at $50 NL, opponent is looking at his own cards and the board. If he saw anything he liked he'd be betting it given all the draws out there. Since he didn't, you bet to take it down before he can catch one of however many outs he might have.

However, I think a number of opponents will turn up here with QQ/JJ that are just scared enough of that king not to bet, but usually won't be too scared to call. Yeah that's irrational but that's $50 NL for you. So maybe the turn bet isn't as great as I wanted to say it was.

My initial (entirely positive) response to the turn bet may have been due in part to seeing the opponent's fold to your turn bet. In the future for better responses don't give results in advance.

I 3 bet PF, and Im probably folding if villain 4 pops it, or if we are deep and I get the right IO, then Ill call for set value. 3bets at the level are a healthy percentage of the time big pairs JJ-AA.

Thing about the turn check is he is basically telling us he has an underpair to the K, and many many times I have tried to take away a pot here only to find that villain will never lay down a big pair here. Even if its likely you have a K, more often than not I see villains check call right to the river with QQ. I don't think shoving is good either, cause he could show up with hands that beat you other than JJ, QQ at least some of the time. So, ya, I pretty much become a weak-tight human being and check behind the turn. I think its pretty clear we are beat here by a better pair....on which he is never folding. If you have a read or note on him that he is capable of folding on turns and rivers when scary cards come out, then I think stabbing on the turn and/or river becomes a profitable play.
