advantage/disadvantage of playin more than 1 sng

Just wanted to make a thread on this topic. Please feel free to add your Disadvantages and advantages of playin more than 1 sng at a time.


I'll start it off

Advantage getting to play way more hands and making more money. Sng's usually last an hour.


disadvantage Paying less attention because your playin more than one sng.

Advantage: Playing more than one table helps keep you from itching to 'get involved' if you have less than an iron-willed discipline.

Disadvantage: Expanding on 'paying less attention', your read accuracy will go down, and you may miss an opportunity (or even misread the board, position, number of players in the hand, or forget who raised, etc) should a 'more interesting' hand occur simultaneously on another table.

Erik... if you got down to heads up in 2 simultaneous SNGs, that sounds pretty freakin good to me... That means your getting a ROI of anywhere from 82% to 355% on those two SNGs...

Wish my paying attention was as good as your not...

I'll often do that too... So, I can watch the cash game, then sit out right before I get sucked out on the bubble in the SNG...

If you are just good and comfortable at playing 1 sng, and concerned about making more money, just play at a higher level of sng once you get your bankroll to a reasonable size.

Otherwise just keep grinding it out

I'm content to focus on one game at a time. I think I know what you mean Bobby. At least, I too, like to get a feel for my table. I think it is real. After 60 or 75 hands, I go with my gut sometimes on those close calls. I think you do get an idea of the others play.

I know I don't make as much money as I might if I multi'ed and I may try Nash's idea of staggering them - but I'm content now on just working on my game. It is time to move up though. I just have had no success at all at the $11 @ UB.
