Table selection

Was reading this article from a few months ago: and I am curious if PT users also consider some of the criteria he uses for table selection; i.e. the make-up of the entire table, not just individual stats. Excession?

I really like this article.

I treat VP$IP > 50% tables with caution.... some are good and some are bad. That's when I look at individual players.

I am also careful with the highest pot averages. His 20x seems a bit low for lower stakes, but the idea is sound. I find that the highest pot average tables (e.g., $12+ on Party 25NL) can be profitable, but high variance -- I would only play them if your game and bankroll can handle them. When I am looking for something stable and profitable, I usually look for about 30x-40x ($7.50-$10) the big blind on Party 25NL -- higher is wild and lower is often a rock garden.
