Astonishing he called the checkraise here! Funny thing was, he was talking like he had a clue about the game.... Some strange folks in these little games

His play here really doesn't surprise me at all. Although its obviously not perfect, I'm not quite sure why you think its strange. He called with a second nut low draw, two back door flush draws and TPTK.

Seems to me that most of the morons I play omaha with would be all over this hand, despite its rather weak appearance on the flop. I just expect these kind of calls and hope for the best on the river, thankfully, it usually works out.

Also, you must consider the fact that you are playing 25pl with a bunch of hold'em junkies who decided to give omaha a go. He probably called you thinking his J was good and thinking he already made his low. Plus, didn't you know that two wrongs make a right. Two backdoor flush draws equal one legitimate flush draw, which of course requires going all in.

Lol, stupid hold'em loving bastards.

i don't know if you have pto stats on most of your opponents, monk, but lots of these players are showdown muppets -- with all the good and bad that entails.

i just saw you make an all-in bluff (or close to it) when your low got counterfeited and the flush hit. and this was into somone who only folded to a river bet (actually, a bet on any street) about 25% of the time.

it was ugly.

and i love all your smack talk, too. "how the fnck do you 25ers sleep at night?" (after a big suckout)... that was classic.

btw, kyttykat, the one you told about the $2 UB tables, is +100 big bets per 100 (about $85) after 350 hands or so. I know the sample is small, but...

Buying in for one fifth of a buyin is daft, lol. I made $90 in that session but I was mostly mucking about! Apologies for the stupid trash talk, I don't do that normally but, like I say, I was just messing whilst clearing the bonus. trying to rope tighty into a 25 game later tonight (PLO high most likely) if yr interested, I'll be drunk so it'll be pretty manic  .

Copped a nice $360 session today though, with the winnings on the bigger tables, so it was all good.

Smack talk is not a good thing and a bit puerile IMO but sometimes the mind DOES boggle why people put in three pot sized bets on a 2nd nut low draw and suck out to scoop lol. Happened to me twice today for full $25 stacks. People like that will get KILLED long term :)

i really do like the trash talk... i'm sure it puts some people on tilt. knowing who you are, i was cackling the whole time.

hhmmm.... 25 plo might be interesting. let me know the details.

i am about to sign up for multipoker and get their august reload (Sunday is the last day), so i may need to put in some hands.

that being said, i might bore you guys to death with my style of play.

Lol. Please, bare in mind that if you're watching me play $25 buyins for hints and tips, it's probably a bad idea as I play very fast and loose and quite often call for draws that probably aren't very +EV. Still make a bit of money but the times I sit in those games it's just to mess about when drunk knowing i won't lose much, or it's freeing a bonus so, try not to take any hints and tips  ....

And btw, that's not trash talk. I've had my chat revoked twice now at Stars  on both occasions thanks to alcohol, tightwad and low limit O8 or stud8...

definitely not watching for tips. rumor (*cough* Briachek *cough*) has it you're a losing player at plo8.

actually, i see plenty of $100+ players come to $25 and drop lots of chips by trying to push people off their hands. I'm just trying to figure out how I can get my fair share of chips out of these people.

AdamTheExpert is a classic example... the hands and stats I have on that guy in 25PLO8 are laughable.

ribbo on 100plo8 has also, um, tried some ill-advised bluffs.

All I ever remember when monk posts about O8 is how he always seems to lose and can't get anything going. Him being a losing player at O8 is probably just an exaggeration but it seems to cause Monk the most frustration but who knows? He goes on rants like every other day.

Lol. I am about 18 BB/100 for PLO8 this year; these stats probably arent helped by the fact that I've played a fair bit of $25 messing about or bonus clearing and am about 5 BB/100 for it. Also probably not helped that I play PLO8 most often at Party/Empire where I seem to always get screwed (don't play so much at Stars/Crypto for some reason).

My winrate is a lot lower for PLO8 than for PLO, however. I think this is because a) PLO is easier to win big at against poor players (no way to suck out for half the pot) and b) I'm better at PLO than I am at PLO8.

is that 18 big bets, 18 big blinds, or 18 beer bubbles per 100? after observing today's antics, i'm thinking the latter.

the numbers seem a little fishy to me.

Big blinds.

I do have a hangover though. Watching the cricket now, might play a little PLO8 later
