I would push all in everytime with AA and a average or below average stack with the read you had. I more then likely would have pushed after the flop putting the pressure on him. You will win more chips with a pot bet but I would rather take it down right then and not have a race.

Now if he had re-raised pre flop I would have put him all in then.

You have to keep in mind this is the guy who here lately has been going out at the bubble because I have been playing the bubble to aggressive wanting to move up in chips in order to make the final table.

The money means very little for me in the tournies I play. I go for final table or bust....but that doesn't mean I take unnesscary risks either. Play your normal game, become a little bit more aggressive right before the money when people get tight...and you'll reach that final table sooner rather then later.
