Seems like a sensible call given the scenario (i.e. tilting aggro villain). Irritating that the bet is way bigger than the pot, however, as it means you need to be more certain that it's a bluff to call (about 40% or so I believe).
Mind you, why not just shove your stack preflop? By the sounds of it, the steaming guy might call you down with just about any 4. With AA77ss it's tough for him to have anything that has more than 35-40% against you. With a hand containing an ace he's down in the 30-35 range pretty much.
