I played one session of .01/.02 last night and wow those guys are bad. I won 100PT/BB over 300 hands and I think that win rate might be maintainable! Anyway while playing I realized that I didn't really understand the line between folding a marginal hand in EP and the line between raising a good hand in LP.

If you get the following hands in EP do you fold? Do you raise them from LP with a bunch of limpers?
899J suited to J
A234 suited to A
AQJ9 suited to Q
A567 suited to A
3578 double suited.

Also what is the weakest hand that you will limp with in EP? What is the weakest hand you will raise with in LP?

Personally, I play all those hands in all positions, with the possible exception of A234 and 3578 in EP on an aggressive preflop table. I only raise with A678and AQJ9, and then only usually in LP.

I'd say as a beginning player you'll find life a lot easier if you dump most/all of those hands in EP. I think AQJ9 is way too much to fold in any spot, same as maybe A567ss. A234ss and 899J are prob marginal in LP if you're confident you can reach the flop for a limp. 3578 is very dodgy but can be nicely disguised, so i wouldn't mind you occasionally taking a flop with it cheap in LP. In general though, you make the post flop game easier by restricting your marginal hands preflop. If in doubt, you do yourself no harm at all by folding hands you're broadly unsure of.
