Opponent seems pretty solid and I'm pretty sure he has a 7. Did I play him too strong on the turn? I would only have to worry about him hitting a 2 outer on me which is unlikely so how do you extract?

i would be tempted to "get cute" here. This guy seems very willing to bet into you, so I would give him every chance to do so and put the hammer down on the river. You only lose to QQ, KK, and AA when that card hits, so I am willing to get stacked here given that I am most likely up against a lower boat that can't improve to beat me (other than quads).

i think the upside to waiting is MUCH more +EV than jamming on the turn.
