Baring in mind this is about my 4th MTT EVER!
Anyway, so I enter a $5 MTT for fun. 350 entrants, there are about 11 players left, blinds are 750/1500 and I have a stack of 33K (no HH, sorry).
So, we're short handed, about to go to final table. 2 folds and I raise to 6K with AKo, a 4K stack calls all in and then the button who has been overaggressive sticks it all in, the blinds fold and I give it no thought and call. He has 10-10 and busts me. He normally called raises with position and a crap hand to take it down when people checked to him on the flop.
My point is, who would fold here? I would go from being 3rd in chips to about 5/6th with the blinds going up in about 2 minutes, there's a couple of very short stacks left. I should have given it SOME thought, he really could have raised all in with A9 in this spot. My thinking was that if I doubled up I would be in excellent shape to win as the prize pool was mainly in the top five and I was aiming for first. Plus the 12K extra in the pot was a sweetener for a 50/50 shot.
I used to play a ton of STT's but I have virtually no MTT experience, calling all in in this spot annoys me somewhat, how strong is the argument for folding, I'm obviously only asking because I lost it!
