Well, that didn't go as well as I'd hoped.
275 entrants. I finished 204th. Final hand I had a stack of about ~2000, got dealt AA on the button. UTG+2 has stack of about ~3000 raises. Folds to me and I reraise big, about 1/3 of my stack. Blinds fold. He calls. Flop comes Kxx and he checks. I push. He calls with AKo. He catches a K on the turn and I'm done. Oh well, sometimes it goes like that right?

Hey, Seb. I played in it, too. Finished 54th. And I got nailed on a real bad beat.

I had about 5000 chips and was on the button with K9o. Three people limp, so I decide to take a flop, which comes JQT rainbow. BB bet about half the pot, MP calls, I call, everyone else folds.

Turn is a rag, BB bets half the pot again, MP miniraises, so I decide now's the time and push. BB folds, but MP (who has me covered) calls. Retard has AA.

And what do you think hits on the river?

Played in another one tonight. 30 points to enter this time but only a $300 prize pool. I was doing real well and was the tourney chip leader at the second break with only 90 people left out of 831. Was all down the suckout hill from there though and I wound up 30th with only the top 18 getting paid. Grrrrrrrr.
I hate playing solid for that long and then losing without cashing in after that much time. Multiple bad beats in a row to put you out of the tourney can really ruin your mood for the rest of the night. I had thought of just folding my way into the money but I "knew" after reading this forum and HoH that I would not win the tourney if I did so. Well, I got news for ya, I still didn't win the tourney AND I didn't get any money either. Makes ya kinda question that theory a bit. Oh well, maybe this is just sour grapes talking, I don't know. Guess I'll go play some Gran Turismo 4 on the PS2 and forget about poker the rest of the night.
