My Omaha knowledge is limited but I'd probably toss it here, I'm guessing he has 34xx here and if one of the x's is an A you're drawing quite slim, otherwise its a split at best.

this seems like a trap hand to me -- i would either bet the turn or check-fold.

if you get a caller on the turn raise, it most likely means that you're playing for half the pot HU... a big no-no. only 3s are clean outs, and you might get scooped or quartered if you don't improve. yuck.

Is Pup The Cat your only crypto persona? I'm likely to see you in that 100PLO8 game from time if you play regularly at similar times to me.

As for the hand, I quite like the play given your read on this opponent, if you thought he was sophisticated enough to try a semi-steal here. Usually I'd just call it down against a LAG or drop against a straightforward tightish PLO8er. If he has A3 (which seems likely for the latter type of opponent) he almost certainly has a pretty decent freeroll or a winning high hand as well. Very few players would be sophisticated enough to try a big bet in the supposition that your A2 just got c'feited IMO, but if he was one it's fair enough to pop back. It's hard for you to have much less than maybe 40-45% equity against his likely range in any case, even if you get called.
