Rounders?

Postby PokerNinja » Sat Feb 11, 2006 10:56 am

What is everyone's opinion on rounders? I just wanted to see if they are worth the money or not. So far I've only gotten to round 2. The SnGs on Prima suck, because they are so damn slow. I waste an hour or more to get knocked out in 3 (for rounders where only 1 and 2 advance)...

Anyone ever win off the rounders?

yea, i played the rounders at Royal Vegas for awhile a couple months ago. After u get past the first 2 rounds it becomes such a grind that i lost interest in them. Since theres usually still 7 or even 8 or 9 players left when the blinds are like 100/200, it really just boils down to luck.

If your interested in playing them, just make sure that once u get past the 2nd and 3rd rounds...u stay in the 4th round to build up your BR for those things. Wait until u have like 1600-2000 points accumulated before u play round 5..for obvious reasons...

And yea, i got a couple 3rd places and a 2nd place in round 5. It can be very profitable if your skilled in SNG's and exercise discipline.

Is this somewhat like the STEPS system at Party poker? Could someone please post explaining how it works exactly? Thanks.

I finally made it to Round 3. I haven't played it yet though, because the tables are empty. I guess that has something to do with it being 3am. Round 2 was tough. I was down to like 250 chips when there were 7 people left and made a great comeback to finish 2nd. The first 2 rounds are insanely difficult because you have to take 1st or 2nd to move on in each. Round 3 you only need to finish 1-4 and 5th lets you try again.

I'll post in here my results if anyone cares.

Question RE: Rounders

Postby don300 » Wed Feb 22, 2006 9:40 am

If you make the next round, do you have to play it immediately? Or do you have a certain amount of time before you need to play the next round?

The reason I ask is I was curious as if you had to have 4-5 hours of consecutive free time in order to start a rounder.
