3 handed PLO $50 on UB, first orbit at the table. Villain in this hand has about $40. I started the session with the intention of being more aggressive, to make clear that when I bet, I'm willing to back it up.

I get [Jd][Tc][8h] on the button. I raise pot, SB calls, BB calls. Flop: [9s][6d].
Villain checks, I pot, villain raises pot, BB folds, I push.

Anyone prefer a call here to see a non-pairing turn card?

A very useful resource in terms of sets vs draws strategy is the table to be found in the following article.

You should generally downvalue the drawing hand slightly from the percentages tabulated here - this table assumes the draws are TOTALLY clean, and in reality the vast majority of time the set hand will have some dead drawing cards in it (or worse, a similar or better drawing feature).
